SAFE ENVIRONMENTS, HEALTHY SCHOOLS AND STRONG COMMUNITIES FOR OUR CHILDREN
I want to ensure skilled employees in kindergartens and nurseries, so
our children get good and loving environments during the hours they are not with their parents. Our children and young people in primary school also experience poor indoor climates and toilets that are so filthy our children prefer waiting until they get home. This goes beyond learning ability and well-being. I dream of a collaboration with cultural institutions and nature for children's development. School meals and communal dining must be strengthened for better well-being.
Green city
A GREENER CAPITAL WITH A FOCUS ON SOLUTIONS, LIFE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Copenhagen must develop itself at a reasonable pace towards a greener future, where the municipality focuses on solutions rather than obstacles. I want to create a sustainable city with more trees, green areas and biodiversity. This means an ambitious tree policy and an effective restructuring of the city's supply network. Waste sorting must be smarter and easier for citizens with technological solutions. We must protect ground water and improve water quality in lakes and the harbor, for example by expanding the harbor bath. Rainwater must be collected and used in the city's green areas. I want a city with life in the streets, where charging electric cars is integrated without removing the soul of the city.
Business policy
A STRONG CAPITAL WITH SPACE FOR CITIZENS, BUSINESSES AND GUESTS
I want to work for a capital where citizens, businesses and visitors are not opposites, but each other's strengths. Copenhagen must be an attractive city for businesses. Today, there are long processing times, bureaucracy and a parking policy that hinders operations.
I will work for a single entrance for businesses and establish a Business & Digitalization Mayor to ensure better cooperation. At the same time, I will work to remove the cover charge so that businesses can grow and Copenhagen remains an attractive capital for both visitors, citizens and businesses.
Culture
CULTURE, COMMUNITY AND HUMAN MEANING IN EVERYDAY LIFE
I want to work to ensure that life in Copenhagen does not just run around, but gives human meaning. Here, a rich, varied and accessible cultural life is a crucial factor. This is where we find inspiration, experiences and community at all levels, which together make us wiser about each other, the world and our time. When it comes to the close, we must protect everything that works. Like the Reffen food market, which brings together both citizens and guests for good times, should be designated for what it is - a cultural institution, and thus protected from being converted into housing.
Urban development visions for Copenhagen
A GREEN, VISIONARY COPENHAGEN WITH A WORLD-WIDE FORMAT
I will insist that we dare to raise our sights and create a Copenhagen of the future that lights up green both in the world and for the city's citizens. Our capital has a lot to offer, and in our Danish modesty we forget that we are a capital with an international format. I believe that we can and must be Europe's role model and the best - when it comes to culture, knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship and education. Here we must dare to think big and visionary in urban development by establishing a new cultural heart at the same time as we make the city greener than any other by planting trees. A strong interaction between cultural life, tourism and business will lift the capital to a new level. We must reclaim our place as the world's best cycling city with room for cars and show how it can work in a modern city.
